500,000 blooming blossoms

Jerry and I visited the Dallas Arboretum today for the first time since the pandemic began.

And, spring has arrived at the arboretum—with 500,000 blooming blossoms. Yes, 500,000!

It was glorious. I felt as if I had survived the pandemic—even though I wore my mask and was careful to stay at least six feet away from the other arboretum visitors.

My mask caused my glasses to fog. No matter. I took off my glasses, and I could still see beauty all around me.

Back in my own house, I can still see the red and yellow and purple flowers—and I remember the Henri Matisse quote:

“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.”

I like the quote about flowers!

I’m glad you got to visit the Arboretum.
