Lunch with Ranna

Fayteen and I had lunch with Ranna recently.

Lunch with friends is always pleasant, but I usually don’t stop to consider what a wonderful blessing it is to have good friends with whom I can share interesting conversation and delicious food.

However, we did stop to count our blessings at this lunch. Ranna has been very ill this year with breast cancer and a number of complications. We had planned other lunches, but something always came up—chemotherapy, surgeries, infections.

When Ranna, Fayteen and I sat down in a quiet corner at Chocolate Angel, we looked at each other and smiled. We acknowledged to each other that nothing is more important than what is happening at this moment, nothing is more important than sharing pleasant moments with the people you love.
