We have been working extra hard to get ready for Thanksgiving this year.
We have been doing our best to make our house look presentable because our son Jay is bringing home his good friend Rachel for the holiday. We even bought a new garbage can because our old garbage no longer opened automatically when you pressed your foot on the foot press.
“Do you think anyone will notice that we have a new garbage can?” I asked my husband Jerry.
“Probably not,” he said.
We’re ready for Mary Elizabeth, Jay and Rachel to come, and we’re looking forward to a happy holiday in our “presentable” house with our new garbage can. We’re very thankful that both of our children—and Rachel—will be home for Thanksgiving.
