Only 17 percent of United States senators, representatives and governors are women.
Only 3 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, and women make up only 15 percent of corporate boards.
Women account for less than 20 percent of the bachelor’s degrees in engineering, computer science and physics.
What’s even more discouraging is this statistic: Only one in five of girls today believes she has the key qualities to be a leader.
Girl Scouts of the USA wants to help more girls become leaders. That’s why the organization is launching the ToGetHer There campaign, the largest advocacy and fundraising campaign dedicated to girls’ leadership in our nation’s history. You can find out more about the campaign at ToGetHerThere.org.
