Begin anywhere along the way

I’ve been thinking about Barbara Scheiber’s novel We’ll Go to Coney Island because, just like the characters in the book, I’ve been feeling stuck—stuck in a swamp of old feelings of depression, old feelings that make me want to eat chocolate, old feelings that make me want me to give up and stay stuck.

And, when you’re feeling stuck, sometimes it’s difficult to find the energy to get unstuck. However, I am inspired by the characters in the novel—and by a quote I found recently on a Curly Girl Design note card.

“It is important to remember that the beginning can be anywhere along the way,” the card says. “Your story will have many chapters—maybe volumes—each a chance to begin.”
