Some questions to ask yourself

If you’re still searching and asking yourself that essential question—Who am I?, we offer some other questions to ponder.

Consider your time thinking about these questions and your answers a way to begin the next lap in your journey, a guide to help you define yourself—or to redefine or fine-tune yourself.

  • What makes me different? Most likely, those differences are your strengths.
  • Why are you afraid to be yourself? When are you afraid to be yourself?
  • When do you pretend to be someone else?
  • What part of you do you give up to fit in? To please other people?
  • What were you like when you were 10 years old? When you were 20? When you were 30? What has been consistent throughout your life? What parts of you have been lost? How can you recapture them?
  • Whom do you admire? Why? What would you like to change about yourself so that you would be more like that person?
  • How would you like to be different? Why? Do you really want to make the effort to change?
  • What’s missing? What parts of you are hidden, forgotten, unused?
  • What do you do? Is what you do consistent with who you are?
