I didn’t know her name until I read about her in the April 29 issue of Time magazine. Radhya Almutawakel is the co-founder of Mwatana, an organization that documents human-rights abuses in Yemen.
Yemen, she says, faces the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, not because of a natural disaster, but because of man-made armed conflict. “Yemenis are not starving,” she stresses. “They are being starved.”
