Joy has been providing free-lance writing, editing and consulting for corporations for more than 20 years.

Before starting her own business, she managed award-winning publications and communication programs for Exxon Mobil Corporation and the Liquid Paper Corporation Division of Gillette. She has received an international Gold Quill Award, the International Association of Business Communicators’ highest award, and many local awards.

Joy began her career as a newspaper reporter, worked for four newspapers and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for local reporting while writing for the St. Petersburg Times.

She also taught communication courses at the University of Tulsa, and she has a master’s degree in mental health mass communications. She is a national delegate for Girl Scouts USA, a mentor at her local elementary school and a Sunday School teacher.

Joy lives in Dallas with her husband, Jerry, and her daughter, Mary Elizabeth, who is a graduate student. Her son, Jay, also is a college student.

Fayteen is a counselor who has worked with adolescents, individual adults, families and couples. She also is active in the real estate business, and she has bought and sold homes and managed multi-family properties.

A successful business woman for many years, Fayteen has worked as an airline stewardess, model, owner of a school for fashion models and owner of a residential treatment center.

She has learned a great deal from her life experiences, which have included successful battles with polio and cancer and spending many years as a single mother raising two children.

A native of Texas, Fayteen has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling. She lives with her husband, Tom, in Dallas and is very proud of her two children, Ranna and Ran, her daughter-in-law, Heather, and her three grandchildren, Rance, Roark and Rankin.
