Happy Mother’s Day

I told my husband Jerry this morning that I bet there are lots of mothers—like me—who wish they could hug their children on Mother’s Day—and I bet there are lots of mothers—with children who are younger—who wish they could have a few hours of peace without their children. Happy Mother’s Day!

Mothers with adult children—like me—will see their children again—eventually.

All of us—all mothers—are strong women. I am reading Molly Ball’s new book Pelosi. Molly says that Nancy is a strong leader because she had five children—five born in six years—and dealing with toddlers and teenagers is the same as dealing with politicians.
