I felt great last summer when I was walking three miles every day.
However, during the holidays, I got so busy that I stopped walking. And, then, I broke my toe, and now I’m wearing a surgical shoe.
“Can I still walk my dog in the morning?” I asked the podiatrist.
“Yes,” he answered. “Just be reasonable. Don’t overdo it.”
The next morning, my faithful canine companion and I walked a slow mile, and we both felt great.
The doctor’s advice is sensible. I don’t have to walk three miles. One mile is great for now. I don’t have to lose 10 pounds immediately. I’m working on losing five.
And, I don’t have to clean every room in my house. I’m going to focus on one or two projects at first.
