One project at a time

Fayteen and I are resolving, once again, to get rid of some of the clutter in our homes.

It’s very appropriate that I found some inspiration and helpful hints in an article from the November 22, 2011, issue of The New York Times. I uncovered the article in a pile of important and not-so-important papers in the back corner of my closet.

The advice? “Perhaps most important is to tackle just one project at a time and stick with it until it is done,” writes Jane Brody.

And, Brody quotes Dr. Robin Zasio, author of How to Live a Happier, Healthier, Uncluttered Life, who says, “Start with the easiest, and be proud of what you’ve done.”

One thing at a time. Focus. That’s good advice. I’m going to work on that pile in my closet until it disappears.
