In our last blog post, I confessed that I recently lost control and ate almost a whole box of Samoas, my favorite kind of Girl Scout cookies.
Did I enjoy every bite? Almost every bite. I was beginning to feel guilty before I reached for the last cookie.
What do you do when you lose self-control? Use your guilt to get motivated, and get back in control as soon as possible.
A few days later, when I visited the nearest Weight Watchers location and weighed in—a once-a-month requirement for lifetime members like me, I received a friendly reminder.
The Weight Watcher Weekly recommended “four ways to ensure that you’ve set a good goal.”
- Is it positively stated? Yes, I want to follow my Weight Watcher eating plan.
- Is it specific? Yes, I will count my Weight Watcher points and write down what I eat every day.
- Is it in your control? Yes, I am doing most of the cooking, and I can cook healthy food.
- Is it tailored to your life? Yes, I have time to take care of myself and cook healthy food.
