“There’s nothing like humor”

Jean Stapleton, who died on May 31, 2013, once said, “There’s nothing like humor to burst what seems to be an enormous problem.”

We found this quote in the June 17, 2013, issue of Time magazine.

Stapleton worked for half a century in theater, television and movies, but her most memorable role was a “housewife married to a bigoted, belligerent load-docking worker.”
