Cherish your memories

During the next several weeks, we’re going to share some holiday lessons we’ve learned.

Even though I love Christmas, I sometimes have to fight sadness during the holiday season.

I feel sad when I remember how my three brothers and our children would crowd into my mother’s small house. It was always a happy day. All of my brothers were story tellers, and they kept us laughing.

I miss my mother and my brothers, who died too young, so much.

But I remind myself that it’s okay to feel sad sometimes during the holidays, and I remind myself that I am fortunate to have so many happy memories. I cherish my memories.
