Our Christmas tree is decorated.
We have a decoration that Jerry and I bought at a Christmas store in Michigan only one or two years after we married. And, Christmas balls that we bought the first year we were married. But, the best decorations are the ones that our children made throughout the years.
This year, I bought one new decoration. It pictures a snowman with a mask and the words “Merry Christmas 2020.”
“Christmas is tenderness for the past, courage for the present and hope for the future,” Agnes M. Pharo once said.
My Christmas tree reminds me of happy Christmases with my children. It cheers me this Christmas, and it gives me hope that next year we will celebrate a post-pandemic Christmas with lots of people in our house.
