Working for peace

After Franklin Roosevelt, president during World War II, died, his wife Eleanor was appointed special delegate to the United Nations.

“It isn’t enough to talk peace. One must believe it. And it isn’t enough to believe it. One must work at it,” Eleanor Roosevelt once said.

Roosevelt is one of the First Ladies featured in an exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas.
