Advice from Oliver Wendell Holmes

“Many people die with their music still in them,” Oliver Wendell Holmes once said. “Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.”

That’s good advice for starting a new project—even though it’s summer, even though it’s not the traditional time for resolutions.

We also like another quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes. “The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving,” he said.
