The status quo? An Old Year’s resolution

Yikes! It’s December. I was standing in the middle of a department store surrounded by Christmas decorations and Christmas cards and Christmas presents when I remembered that I have not achieved all of my New Year’s resolutions.

What am I going to do?

I am going to make three Old Year’s resolutions for December. Not major resolutions. Just minor resolutions. I’ll tell you about the first resolution in this blog post—and then I’ll explain the next two in my next two blog posts.

My first Old Year’s resolution is to maintain the status quo. I am not going to gain any weight during December. I also am not going to feel guilty about the five pounds I have gained this year. I am going to wait and feel guilty about those extra pounds next year.
