Keep walking!

Gaynelle, my friend and neighbor, her dog, Cara, my dog, Ginger, and I have been walking two miles every morning for more than a year now. We talk and walk, and it’s a fun way to start the day.

This morning we congratulated ourselves. According to an article in the January 10, 2017, issue of The Dallas Morning News, people who exercise regularly live a couple of years longer. Plus, they enjoy more years of independence and freedom from disease.

That information comes from a study of 63,500 people by the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine in England.
