The best friends

I had lunch today with a group of six friends—sitting outside at a restaurant.

Pre-pandemic, we had lunch together once a month. Before our lunch today, the last time we had lunch was February 2020. We have kept in touch with phone calls, email messages, text messages and Zoom meetings.

Friends are wonderful. In-person friends are the best.

“What makes us resilient as human beings is the shelter of each other,” says author Joan Borysenko.
