“So long as you have food in your mouth, you have solved all questions for the time being,” Franz Kafka.
I found this quote in Alan Peppard’s column in The Dallas Morning News a few days after I had returned from a trip. The trip was fun and I was proud of myself for eating healthy food most of the time I was out of town. However, I returned tired and getting back into my normal routine was hectic and a little stressful.
I messed up and ate everything in sight for a couple of days. Eventually, of course, I got back on track and started eating healthy again.
I don’t agree completely with Kafka. Overeating doesn’t solve all of your questions or problems even when you have food in your mouth, and it certainly is only a temporary partial solution.
