Give yourself a treat

Have you ever felt tired or stressed and told yourself that you deserve a treat?

Maybe a couple of donuts. Or, some chocolate candy. Or, a big bowl of ice cream.

I have comforted myself with treats. And, they make me feel better—for just a little while. After a while, I feel worse—much worse. I feel regretful and depressed.

The next time I’m thinking about treating myself with donuts or chocolate candy or ice cream, I’m going to remember that sugar will bring me only temporary relief.
