Just take a walk

I am a walker. Before I broke my leg last year, my dog Ginger and I walked two—or sometimes three miles—every morning.

While I was recuperating, I walked circles through my house with my walker. Now, my neighbor Gaynelle and I walk exactly two miles every morning.

I recommend walking—and so does Dr. Robert Dimeff, a professor at the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas.

One of the best things you can do for your body is take breaks from your computer and go for a walk, Dr. Dimeff told The Dallas Morning News in its August 30, 2016 issue.

“Life’s all about balance,” he said. “Sometimes you need to take more breaks. You can actually be more productive that way.”
