We’re thankful for family

Ranna, Fayteen’s daughter, has been in the hospital. We are thankful that she is home from the hospital and growing stronger.

My son, Jay, was sure that he could come home for Christmas, but he wasn’t sure if he would be able to come home for Thanksgiving.

“He has to come home for Thanksgiving,” his father announced.

“I hope he can, but he might not,” I told my husband. “We’re not always going to have both of our children home for every holiday.”

Of course, we’re pleased that this year we will have both of our children home for both holidays. When we count our blessings this Thanksgiving, Fayteen and I are very thankful for our families.
