There is still good in the world

“Reserve your thunder for abuses and outrages that are truly momentous,” advises Tom Krattenmaker in the June 26, 2018, issue of USA Today.

Also, Krattenmaker suggests, “Remind yourself and others that there is still good in the world, even in Washington.”

He remembers Katniss in the closing scene of the fourth and final “Hunger Games” movie. War-scarred, she tries to calm her upset baby with these words.

“I have nightmares, too….I’ll tell you how I survive (them). I make a list in my head…of all the good things I’ve seen someone do. Every little thing that I can remember.”
