Author Elizabeth Strout says, “We live in a state of bafflement—without even knowing it. For a lot of us, there is a sense of what are we doing here. A story can help to stabilize us and help us become more coherent.”
I’ve decided that Strout is one of my favorite authors, and I just read, both for the second time, her books My Name Is Lucy Barton and Anything Is Possible.
