Good stuff is going on

The poet Naomi Shahid Nye, whose father is Palestinian, visits schools in the United States and the Middle East.

At the Texas Book Festival in Austin, she remembered the students in one classroom in the Middle East. “Do the kids in the United States know we want to be their friends?” the children asked.

No matter what you read in the newspaper or see on TV, Nye asks you to remember “there is much more good stuff going on everywhere than bad stuff….We have to search for the positive stories….We’re all in this together.”
